A Rare Bird: (One of only 57 built in 1992.)
Someday to be most rare w/ 2 x Volkswagen 1.8T turbos, Spearco intercooler and 400+BHP.

The top two photos are from Carlisle, the 2007 GM Nationals, where the GP has been 4 times in the last five years. This is with the new paint, which is slightly darker, and was shot at Maaco in Frazier, PA. They did a very nice job and the new paint has much more metallic flake than the factory job. It is most noticable in direct overhead sunlight. Notice the difference between the rear bumper in the pictures above and below, where the paint was heavily damaged on the enduraflex. Notice the Toyo Proxes on the Suzuka 18's and the difference in the air gap with the front lowering springs (1.5" drop). The car is no longer driven in the winter so the older 16" Sendel 5 spokes with Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires in the pictures below have been retired.

Here's the command center where it all happens.

I purchased this vehicle in December, 1997 from Reedman, Langhorne PA, with 82,000 original miles. The vehicle was sold new by Faulkner GMC of West Chester, PA. Sticker list price was $25,440.
Future Plans:
Power amp and 10" or 12" subs (JL Audio, probably. Already have the Kenwood amp, and it belts out serious noise. I'm not a boomer, but the stock 6X9 subs are pretty weak and boomy (heavy hangover, not good, clean, tight bass).)
Coil-Over Rear Spring Conversion Kit.
Strut Tower Braces.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoyed seeing probably one of the rarest production 1992 cars on the planet. Pontiac was not able to verify the build mix for options, so this could conceivably be the only GP built in 1992 with this particular mix of options.
Last updated 4 July, 2007. New pix with the 2.0 megapixel digital Fujifilm Finepix 2800.
This just in, 07 November 2003, dyno results for my 158,000 mile old 3.4L 5 Speed MT:
177.1 Peak Horsepower, 184.0 Peak Torque. These values were recorded with out a cool down or ice bag and with no airflow cooling boost from outside stationary propeller floor fans (typical for a stationary dyno). With a cool down run, 3 to 5 more HP and Torque would easily be available, so this comes in at about 225 to 230 crank HP, at least. Not bad for a free flow exhaust and hogged out airbox w/ K&N. Notice that the torque curve is at least 150 FT LBS ALL the way across, and the horsepower curve is a nice steady, fairly smooth upward climb. Speed limiter interrupted at 122 MPH, and it was still pulling hard, in fourth gear. EPROM replacement chip will be next w/ speed limiter removed and change from 7000 to 7200 RPM rev limiter, with dyno runs to prove it all out.
